  21. I'd be interested to know if you looked at ObjectSpace' Systems<toolkit> ?
  22. The unix version was made available only Q4 95 but it has a certain number
  23. of interesting features such as:

  25. - source code compatibility over multiple platforms (well, they take care
  26.   of idiosyncrasies for you).
  27.  
  28. - it is licensed in source.
  29.  
  30. - it has very good integration with the standard template library.

  32. One thing that I don't like much about Rogue Wave's products is that
  33. they tend to force you to use Tools.h++. In turn, Tools.h++ tends to force
  34. you to buy into Rogue's Wave approach to mixing object-oriented programming
  35. with the stl. If that's ok with you then great. I don't like their approach,
  36. it is way too constricting and closes the door on too many opportunities one 
  37. can exploit with the stl. (but that is another subject)
